Kimberly Good Neighbor Day Parade

Thank you for joining Kimberly in celebrating Good Neighbor Day! This packet is designed to help ensure a safe, fun, and smooth parade experience for everyone.

Parade Day: Saturday July 11th 2026
Parade Start Time: 10:00 A.M.
Parade Registration / Line-Up: 8:30 A.M.

PARADE STAGING

• Parade registration opens at 8:30 A.M.
  Please DO NOT arrive earlier than 8:30 A.M. or later than 9:30 A.M.

• Registration is located at the west entrance to the Kimberly High School parking lot on Emerald Drive.

• All entries must check in at Registration to receive their assigned parade number.

• Your parade number must be clearly displayed on the right-hand side of your entry.

• After check-in, proceed to your assigned line-up position:

  • Horse entries: Line up on Oak Street near the football field

  • All other entries: Line up in the KHS parking lot

• Please keep all entries facing east and parked within marked spaces.

• ALL NON-PARADE VEHICLES MUST PARK AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL and remain out of the staging area.

• Please review your assigned position and the parade route in advance.

• The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 A.M.

• Announcements will be made when it is time to close ranks and begin.

PARKING

• Limit the number of vehicles entering the staging area when possible.
  Coordinate with your group to arrive together.

• Dropping off participants one at a time creates congestion—please plan ahead.

• ALL NON-PARADE VEHICLES MUST PARK AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL and stay clear of staging.

• Do not arrive before 8:30 A.M.

PARADE RULES & ETIQUETTE

• Maintain approximately 30 feet between entries to keep the parade moving smoothly.

• Candy may be thrown from floats or vehicles, but safety is the top priority:

  • Toss candy on ground away from the street towards edge of road

  • Do not encourage children to enter the roadway

• Motorized entries:

  • No excessive revving of engines

  • No tire spinning

  • No squirt guns of any type

• Groups handing out candy should walk along the sidewalk and distribute directly to spectators.

• Entries distributing items by hand will be placed at the end of the parade lineup.

• ALL ENTRIES MUST COMPLETE THE FULL PARADE ROUTE
  (No exiting the route early)
